Does this even work anymore? (Servers Errors)

After about four hours of fixing various problems trying to get my face generated, I finally am able to generate the model after about thirty minutes however it says there is a server error and I have 3 more attempts. Of course these attempts immediately fail. Did I waste my entire day? Does this feature even work anymore? I've read previous posts from months ago and there seems to be numerous issues with these server errors. So my question is, does this even work, does EA even care? I can't imagine that people have been getting server errors for months and no one has been able to fix it. Or at least give an update about it. But then again it is EA.
