GAME FACE BETA POLL: .NET 3.5 SP1 Installation Problems

Hi all,
We would like to find out a bit more about issues linked to .NET installation.
If you have downloaded the GFP (Game Face Package) and installed it successfully, then tried generating a Game Face from a photo and it did not work for the following reasons, you have encountered .NET installation related issue.
If you encountered one or more of those messages after clicking on the 'Generate' button:
- Windows Presentation Foundation error
- GAC error
- Asked you to save a file
- clickOnce error
Please vote with 'Cannot generate my Game Face due to .NET error message' option.
If you had one of those errors, then re-installed the GFP or .NET manually, then it worked great from that point - Please vote with 'Had a .NET installation issue, now resolved' option.
If everything went smooth with .NET installation and you did see a generation counter elapsing the first time (even though you might have encountered some other error later on), please vote with 'No issue, worked the first time around' option.

L/|||i 've installed .net framework 3.5 SP1
And i have always Windows Presentation Foundation error :)|||ive tried and tried, i downloaded that net 3.5 sp1 a couple times now and it keeps saying windows presentation foundation host has stopped working|||Yeah i'm still getting the issue.
Tried uninstalling & reinstalling; repairing and downloading the online client .net thingy. None of that has worked
Also tried updating my graphics drivers (just in case) and reinstalling the BETA (although with no way of uninstalling first that i can see i dont know how effective that would be)
So yes, at least (for me anyway) other people are suffering from this in large numbers so resources will probably be diverted to solve it, hopefully.|||All,

Ok, well i have gone past the first hurdle, the permission problem has been solved. However wpf is still crashing, now with this report:

Glad to see the first problem is now gone.
I would suggest now to try and re-install/repair .NET, then rebooting:

no luck :)|||still have the same wpf crash. :) not looking good.|||It is likely there is still an issue with the .NET Framework installation. The Dev Team has identified one issue that is being fixed for next release, that may relate to what is reported here.
Microsoft is also aware of issues with .NET installation on some systems and have posted a number of technical articles and manual solutions on the subject. Most tie to Windows Registry corruption due to specific installation history, but neither are simple enough to constitute a real answer, unfortunately.
If you can, please post a message in the section 'I found a bug' via the feedback button in Game Face Creator. That will help the Dev Team with additional clues with the state reported by your browsers.

Can you confirm to have installed the Game Face Package on your computer?
There is a link from the 'Settings' tab of Game Face Creator.
